Adventure Foods is LIVE on Amazon with more than 60 Recipes!
The day is here!
The backwoods and the waterways are screaming for you to get outside and explore new places. So, once again you grab the same old granola bars or maybe even, gasp, a candy bar, a bottle of water or even some strangely-colored energy drink that makes great promises for your athletic endeavors, and then head for the hills or the waterways. Yeah, “Grab and Go” foods from the store tend to taste the same, look the same, and not offer quite so much in the way of nutrition.
Never fear, though, Adventure Foods is here to rescue your day or multi-day adventures from the mundane, tasteless, and even outright unhealthy foods you have been grabbing for all these years to fuel your recreational activities.
I have put together more than 60 recipes that Taste Great, Travel Well, and Go Deep to Fuel Your Adventures! These are fun and delicious combinations that cover the gamut from Tropicana Trail Mix and Pumpkin Delight Fruit Leather all the way to Quinoa PowerFuel Bars, Chia Seed tubes, DIY Gummies, and Marshmallows.
For the athlete adventurers, try out my Easy-Peasy Energy Gel, Natural Sport Drink and my infamous GLOOP.
More recipes cover tasty Veggie Chips, Cheesy Crisps, Hempseed Hardtack, and Pemmican.
But, don’t forget about Power Protein Breakfasts with Oatmeal Combos and Rice Patties…and SO MUCH MORE!!!
Adventure Foods is much more than “just” another recipe compilation, I also include discussions on deep nutrition and why ultra runners hit the wall and deal with race-stopping digestive distress.
While I don’t go into multi-day actual #backpacking meals (that’s for another book – had to cut it down to size somehow!), I do share a lot of information on trail kitchen essentials, gear, basic ingredients, cooking and hydration, local products/sourcing, nutrient dense foods, the top 10 foods that are PowerFuel for your adventure…and SO MUCH MORE!!!
I hope you enjoy making and taking these treats along on your adventures!
